Discontinued Model — Replaced by Strapack SQ-800S
The Strapack RQ-8S automatic strapping machine has been discontinued. For new machine purchases, see the current Strapack SQ-800S Automatic Strapping Machine for Small Packages.
The RQ-8S was designed specifically for strapping very small, rigid packages and bundles. It was well suited for applications such as plastic pipe, steel rod, aluminum sash, wood molding and similar products that can be difficult to strap on conventional automatic machines.
The RQ-8S could strap square timber as small as approximately 40 mm W × 30 mm H and small pipe bundles, while providing up to approximately 177 lbf of strap tension. It also featured easy strap loading, a permanently lubricated mechanism, self-diagnostic controls and variable tension. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
Packsource Systems continues to support existing RQ-8S machines with parts information and legacy product support.
