The RQ-8 was a high-performance automatic strapping machine designed for dependable general-purpose packaging. It featured automatic strap refeed and loop ejection, easy strap loading, permanently lubricated mechanisms, variable tension and self-diagnostic controls.
The RQ-8 was capable of approximately 40 straps per minute and could be ready for operation in less than 25 seconds. Its tension system provided up to 176 lbf of strap tension, making it suitable for a wide range of package sizes and applications.
